• Be careful not to damage the parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank and canister) when raising the vehicle using the lift.(Refer to General Information - "Lift and Support Points")
1.Remove the engine room under cover.(Refer to the Engine And Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover")
2.Drain engine coolant by loosening the drain plug.(Refer to the Cooling System - "Coolant")
3.Drain engine oil.(Refer to the Lubrication System - "Engine Oil")
4.Disconnect the oil cooler hose (A).

• Do not apply excessive force when disconnecting and reconnecting the oil cooler coolant hose. Otherwise, coolant may leak due to the deformation of cooler nipple.
5.Remove the oil filter & oil cooler (A).
Tightening torque :19.6 - 23.5 N.m (2.0 - 2.4 kgf.m, 14.5 - 17.4 lb-ft)

• When removing the oil filter & oil cooler, loosen the bolts shown in the below.

6.Remove the oil filter & oil cooler O-ring (A).

• When installing, be sure to check the existence of 2 O-rings on the seating surface of oil filter & oil cooler.
7.Install in the reverse order of removal.
8.Fill engine oil.(Refer to the Lubrication System - "Engine Oil")
9.Fill engine coolant.(Refer to the Cooling System - "Coolant")
• Be sure to fill coolant following the ITM coolant filling method.
