Hyundai Tucson: Front Door / Front Door Window Glass

1. Front door window glass


- Replacement

1.Remove the front door trim.(Refer to Front Door - "Front Door Trim")

2.Remove the front door belt inside weatherstrip.(Refer to Front Door - "Front Door Belt Inside Weatherstrip")

3.Remove the front door belt outside weatherstrip.(Refer to Front Door - "Front Door Belt Outside Weatherstrip")

4.Remove the plug hole (A).

5.Lower the glass by operating the power window switch until the glass mounting bolt is exposed in the plug hole.

   

• Be careful not to drop the glass and/or scratch the glass surface.

6.After unscrewing the mounting bolt as loosely as possible and completely loosening the bolt, tilt the front door window glass (A) to pull out it upwards.

Tightening torque : 7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)

7.To install, reverse the removal procedure.

   

• Make sure that the glass rolls up and down smoothly.

• Adjust glass position as needed.

• Make sure the door locks and opens properly.

• Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
