1.In the engine control system, failure can be quickly diagnosed by using the diagnosis tool.
(1)Self diagnosis : Checking failure and code number (DTC).
(2)Current data : Checking the system input/output data state.
(3)Actuation test : Checking the system operation condition.
(4)Additional function : Controlling other features including system option setting and zero point adjustment.
1.Check the MAFS visually.
(1)Mounting direction correct.
(2)Any contamination, corrosion or damage on connector.
(3)Air cleaner's clogging or wet.
(4)MAFS cylinder's deforming or blocking by any foreign material.
2.Measure the waveform of the AFS using the diagnosis tool.(Refer to - "DTC Diagnosis Guide")
1.Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery (-) cable.
2.Disconnect the mass air flow sensor connector (A) and the installation clamp (B).
3.Remove the intake hose (C).
Tightening Torque :3.0 - 5.0 N.m (0.3 - 0.5 kgf.m, 2.1 - 3.6 lb-ft)
4.Remove the installation bolts (A), and then remove the sensor from the air cleaner.
Tightening Torque :4.0 - 5.8 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.8 - 4.3 lb-ft)
• Install the component with the specified torques.
• Note that internal damage may occur when the component is dropped. In this case, use it after inspecting.
• Be careful not to damage the sensing element and the honey cell.
1.Install in the reverse order of removal.
